Washington, DC, February 28, 2011. TSAG today filed its Comments in response to the Federal Communications Commission’s Next Generation 911 Notice of Inquiry. In its filing letter (.pdf) TSAG Chair Dia Gainer notes that TSAG “supports an early and orderly transition of our nation’s legacy 911 systems to a Next Generation program that accommodates advances in communications technologies currently in broad use in our nation.

Transportation Safety Advancement Group Adds New Members

Washington DC: At its December 2010 business meeting, the Transportation Safety Advancement Group (TSAG) elected three new members to fill vacancies in its Academic & Research, Technology & Telematics, and Law Enforcement interest communities. In announcing the selections TSAG Chair Dia Gainor (Chief, Idaho EMS Bureau) noted that in adding these members, pursuit of the TSAG mission is greatly strengthened. Gainor reports that TSAG members ratified the nominations of Dr. Robert Gray, (Academic & Research); Ms Cynthia Manley (Technology & Telematics), and Sgt. Philip Strohm (Law Enforcement).
